This devised work was R&D in 2022 and presented at the final VAULTS Festival. A three-hander that explored the intense relationship between Caligula and Cassius Chaerea as the boy becomes Emperor of Rome. Plagued by the promises and lies of the God of the Sea Neptune which watch as their relationship shatters along with Caligula's mind, descending into madness.
Using puppetry, broken roman columns and a billowing blue parachute cloth to build the seaside world of the tale this production sits between tales of myth and history.
